Launched in South Korea in 2024 and approved by Health Canada, XERF is the first and only system featuring a proprietary monopolar radiofrequency (RF) technology that delivers dual frequencies in a single shot — without needles, numbing or downtime. This means it’s able to penetrate deeper — reaching the shallow, middle and deep layers of the skin — while maintaining efficacious levels of heat to produce structural skin tightening as well as build collagen.

XERF uses a feedback system to analyze and adapt to each client’s skin. With three depth settings and ten intensity levels, each treatment is customized to the unique needs of your skin — delivering thermal energy where it’s needed most. At the shallow depth, energy lifts and tightens the brow region; at the middle depth, it can strengthen and contract collagen to lift and tone sagging skin on the face and neck; and at the deep level, there’s firming of loose and lax tissue in the mid and lower part of the face, jowls and neck region. Lines and wrinkles are also smoothed, for a refreshed complexion.

Additionally, XERF treats you comfortably. The system’s Wave Fit™ pulse integrates dual-frequency technology and an advanced Integrated Cryogen Delivery (ICD) cooling system — to regulate energy delivery while maintaining a comfortable surface temperature. As a result, skin tightening is achieved while the epidermis is protected — with no numbing required. Many clients describe the sensation as comparable to a warm massage. Since there’s minimal discomfort, bruising or redness — there’s no downtime.

XERF’s applicator tip provides further innovation. Larger than the tips of conventional RF devices, it delivers more energy and covers more area, so treatment sessions are often shorter.   • The results can last up to 18 months or more. Factors like skin condition, lifestyle and skin-care routine can influence the longevity of the results.

  • Yes, XERF is suitable for all skin types and it can be performed at any time of year.

  • No. With XERF, there’s no need for numbing. Its sensation has been described as a warm massage.

  • Avoid excessive sun exposure and tanning (including tanning beds and self-tanners) for at least two to four weeks prior to treatment. Use a high-protection broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher daily on areas to be treated. Discontinue use of retinoids, glycolic/salicylic acids, vitamin C and other exfoliants at least five to seven days before treatment. Avoid chemical peels, microdermabrasion or waxing in treatment area for one to two weeks before a session. Keep hydrated by drinking six to eight cups of water per day in the 24 to 48 hours leading up to your appointment. You should be free of any infection and have no open sores in the area to be treated. Shave visible hair from the area to be treated. Come to the treatment with a clean face, free of make-up or lotions. 

  • Mild erythema (redness) and edema (swelling) may appear immediately following a treatment and can persist for one to two days. Do not use a cooling pack or ice pack on the treatment area. A non-occlusive topical product, such as a gentle moisturizer, can be applied to soothe the treated area. Moisturize daily. Increased redness may result from any activity that elevates blood flow or body temperature. Avoid excessive activity or exercise for 48 hours post treatment. Avoid using cosmetics containing alcohol, such as astringents and toners, for five to seven days post treatment. To minimize the risk of hyperpigmentation, avoid excessive sun exposure and apply a high-protection broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher throughout the treatment series.

  • Since there’s no associated discomfort or bruising and minimal redness, there is little to no downtime.

  • While you should see and feel some immediate improvement post treatment, collagen will continue to build, with the most significant changes seen after four to six weeks. There should be continued enhancement and collagen production after two to three months.

  • Most people will require two initial treatments spaced one month apart to achieve optimal results. A six-month to yearly follow-up treatment is recommended to maintain long-lasting results.
